How It Works: The Basics
That’s it! Seriously!
Well, okay, you will have to send us some pictures and stuff and some textual content about your company and products or services. Snap some pics and write us a letter!
We then build you a fully responsive E-Commerce website at no cost. We provide SEO (Search Engine Optimization) of your site as well as promote it in various ways. Also no cost. We host, manage and maintain your website at Ice & Fire for, you guessed it – no cost.
When orders come through your website you are responsible for fulfilling the orders and shipping the products to your customers. You will have all of the order details and shipping information sent to you as soon as an order is placed.
Once a month we send you a payment that totals 70% of gross sales that were generated through your website. We hang on to 30% and work hard to ensure that our 30% is worthwhile to us!
We told you it was simple!
Yes, your product or service has to be approved before being accepted into our program, but if you are selling much at all right now, why would you not have online sales as well? And – here is a biggie – No matter how little or how large your sales volume is, if you are accepted into this program your site will remain active and maintained indefinitely! That is our way of ensuring you have absolutely no risk involved.
So to be intentionally repetitive: You provide some content for the site and fulfill all orders that are received via your site. That is it.
We also handle technical support issues for your customers.
So you have nothing to lose! At times we are unable to immediately take on new projects, but will let you know whether or not this is the case as soon as you apply.
E-Commerce and Commission Payments
Customers visiting your site will be able to pay with the credit card of their choice as well as through PayPal. You will be sent the details of every order as soon as it is placed, including the shipping information you may need to send the customers purchase to them.
We will setup your credit card account for you through Stripe, which is what we use as your payment processor.
You will have full access to the credit card account so you can see all orders made via credit card. Of course on the PayPal side of things, you have access as well. If you don’t have a PayPal account already we can assist you in setting one up.
Your Monthly Sales Payments:
You will receive 70% of your gross sales once a month (unless other arrangements are made). This payment can be sent via PayPal or by check via regular mail. We are working to add other options and hope to have news on this soon. EFT is available for payments to Canadian banks.
You will have access to full sales records via your website and your Stripe / PayPal accounts.
Website Hosting and Maintenance
If you have new products you want to add to your site, we will take care of that for you as well. Unless you want to, you never have to touch your website yourself. One exception would be a blog: We cannot guarantee that we will be able to add blog posts for you in a timely manner, but your site will be set up as such that, if you wish to have a blog, you will be able to learn how to create new posts fairly easily. We will guide you and provide you with instructional materials to get you started.
